Preparing for the Final Asana

In the fall of 2025, attorney and long-time yoga practitioner Kathryn Tucker (KT) invited Institute founder/director Amy Wright Glenn to co-teach with her at The Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The topic? “Law, Medicine, and Yoga at the End of Life.”

For three days, KT and Amy facilitated conversation, teaching, meditation, yoga, and heartfelt reflection on ~ what KT calls ~ The Final Asana.

Death.

How do we prepare for this final asana?

Drawing upon the profound work of Kathleen Dowling Singh in The Grace in Dying as well as Holding Space by Amy Wright Glenn ~ participants explored the spiritual, legal, emotional, and medicinal choices present at the end of life. It was a moving, transformative, informative, and heartfelt weekend of exploration.

Today, KT and Amy would love to travel to your community and offer their Preparing for the Final Asana workshop.

Do you own a yoga center? Would you like them to come and train your hospice team? Do you plan programs for retreats?

KT’s work is truly inspirational! She was recently featured in a November 2025 Lucid News article entitled The Attorney Fighting to Bring Psychedelics to the Dying. In addition to teaching this program at Kripalu, she has taught at White Lotus, Rancho la Puerta and the Ram Dass Institute on Maui.

Amy’s work is truly inspirational! She has trained thousands of midwives, doulas, and mental health practitioners in the work of holding space.

When we look into this ‘mirror’ of death and dying, we get a clearer image of ourselves, a clearer image of the inherent possibilities of human consciousness.
