This winter, become certified to teach a 3-hour Shadow Work course through the Institute.
This training is open to anyone called to this work.

We are living through challenging and anxiety producing times economically, politically, and culturally with the rise of authoritarianism, the disruptions from climate change, the misuse of AI, war, and threats to the values aligned with protecting universal human rights.

Personal and collective shadow work ~ the wise integration of energies relegated to “the shadows” ~ is brave and needed right now.

Through Shadow Work we can acknowledge the tremendous/ transformative power and challenge of integrating both our personal and collective shadows and the often unacknowledged or ignored, shamed, and hated aspects of our collective human experience.

Become a part of transforming our culture’s understanding of Shadow Work.

Participants in this 16-hour, online, Shadow Work Teacher Training will deeply explore, examine, and prepare to teach three dimensions of Shadow Work.

These are:

*Cross cultural study of myths and rituals relating to Shadow Work

*Examination of Internal Family Systems model relating to integrating “protector” and “exile” parts

*Application of DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) ~ with regard to mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance ~ to Shadow Work

The Shadow Teacher Training includes:

  • 12 hours of module time
  • 1 hour of practice teaching, wherein you will lead a Shadow Work class and receive feedback
  • 3 hours of personal study and written reflection

Participants will be crafting three-hour workshops to enable people to understand three unique dimensions of shadow work. They can then dive deeper into these dimensions if they choose to do so through therapeutic support or further study. The three-hour workshop is intended to be an important and clear overview of three ways of approaching shadow work, designed to offer guidance, grounding, and courage at this time in history.
