Samantha (Sam) Leggett (she/her) is a UK registered nurse with over 30 years of experience serving women, children and families across the globe. She has walked alongside many people through loss, grief, and life’s big transitions. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, is a postpartum midwife working from the core principles of the Innate Traditions philosophy, and a teacher with the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath and Death. Sam is also a long-time student and practitioner of yoga and holds a 100 hour Yin YTT certificate.

The mother of 3 beautiful daughters, Sam has also personally known guilt, shame and loneliness because of pregnancy loss and unexplained infertility. She has also journeyed through, and continues to move through, a number of significant personal and family losses. Sam founded the Tomorrow House to support girls, women and families through life’s
rites of passage. Her work centres on witnessing, connection, and community – helping people to move through meaningful transitions with care and respect. She loves to integrate ritual and ceremony into many aspects of her life and work. This Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss workshop is one of the ways she does this. Sam is practical, grounded, and knows how to hold space for tough emotions. Her background in clinical nursing and research keeps her in touch with what people want,
and what works in-person. Her spiritual approach is simple and real. Sam also has 30 years of varied teaching experience, which has further evolved her ability to connect with people, and foster meaningful growth in a way that is both supportive and effective.

Joanne Zerdy, PhD (she/her) is a former university professor in theatre arts, Joanne brings her experience as an educator, researcher, and grieving parent to her work at Inviting Abundance, co-created by Joanne and her husband Will Daddario (Listen to their Circle of Care webinar HERE).  In addition to teaching Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss trainings, Joanne facilitates an online Grief Mapping course, a Grief Pen Pal Project, and Creative Grief Workshops. She also utilizes her communication, writing, editing, and curriculum-design skills as an education consultant. As part of her personal grief work since the death of her baby boy Finlay, Joanne studies permaculture design and herbal medicine; she makes herb-infused honeys and herbal tea blends for Finlay’s Garden. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with Finlay’s younger brothers, Phalen and Ren, and, when time allows, drinking a quiet cup of tea. Learn more here.
