Registration for 5-hour in-person Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss trainings are open based upon training availability.

In-person trainings are taught by both Institute founder, Amy Wright Glenn, as well as inspiring/skillful Institute teachers who have completed a rigorous 55-hour training. Institute teachers combine their knowledge of Amy’s work with their own background as educators, doulas, midwives, mental health professionals, and healers.

All Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss teachers compassionately and wisely prepare participants to more confidently and clearly hold space for one of life’s most painful and devastating losses. While the majority of the Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss trainings are now being taught by Institute teachers, Amy is also available to teach Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss trainings, albeit primarily “in house” with midwifery colleges, hospitals, and conferences.

Amy has trained over 700 birth and mental health professionals in this work.

Student midwives at Birthwise Midwifery School value and appreciate Amy’s grounding and open presence, her wealth of knowledge, and the care and safety with which she holds space for conversations around pregnancy loss.  We in the Academic Department are honored to welcome here as an elective instructor, and we see the deep value of her heart-offering to our classes of future midwives.  I encourage you to study with Amy whenever you have the chance!

Amy’s training is fantastic, and many of our conference attendees said it was their favorite part of their experience!  She approaches these difficult and emotional topics with amazing grace and confidence.  Amy’s teaching style is so engaging, and she steadfastly guided us on such a beautiful journey over the short course of time we had with her (and we all wished we had more!).
